Nonlinear Transport and Magnetic/Magneto-Optical Properties of Cox(MgF2)100-x Nanostructures

The aim of this work was to comprehensively study the effect variable atomic composition and structural-phase state Cox(MgF2)100-x nanocomposites on their nonlinear transport magnetic/magneto-optical properties. Micrometer-thick nanocomposite layers glass substrates were obtained by means ion-beam sputtering a composite target in argon atmosphere wide range compositions (x = 16–59 at.%). Using low metal content nanocomposite, magnesium fluoride kept nanocrystalline state. As increased, cobalt formed. value resistive percolation threshold, xper 37 at.%, determined from concentration dependences electrical resistance coincided with beginning nucleation metallic nanocrystals MgF2 dielectric matrix. absolute maximum negative magnetoresistive 5% magnetic field 5.5 kG at Co x 27 at.%.
